For TUI Group we are seeking with immediate effect a: Entwickler / Solution Architect (m/w/d) Customer Master Data Management

  • Design IT strategy, business processes, architecture, solution and database designs, integrate data and performance management as well as develop the scalability of tourism applications in the Master Data Management Customer / KUBA 2.0 environment
  • Accept and comprehensively control technical system requirements, documentation of requirements and execution of process and business analyses
  • Ensure ongoing operations as well as responsible for incident and problem management, implementation of bug fixing (troubleshooting and know-how development to avoid future bugs)
  • Independently maintain and develop software solutions as well as develop and implement technically optimal and market-driven IT solutions
  • Test functionalities and document according to documentation guidelines
  • Responsible for the consistency and executability of the implemented software changes in the test and production environments
  • Responsible for and manage large and international IT projects for the optimization of tourism production and sales processes in close cooperation with relevant specialist departments
  • Consult, develop, implement and introduce IT system solutions for both TUI Central and the TUI Group, taking into account the IT project budget
  • Advise business partners on the content and strategic development of products and services
  • Transfer knowledge with adjacent specialist departments in the form of a Community of Practice (CoP), also on an international level, and transfer expertise as a consultant (m/f/d)
  • Observe and evaluate of internal and external market developments and industry trends
  • Responsible for the consistency and executability of the implemented deployments as well as optimise and develop deployment processes with extensive automation
  • Train and develop new employees (know-how transfer)
  • University degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification (e.g. vocational training as IT specialist (m/f/d) application development) and relevant professional experience
  • Experience in the design, construction and further development of IT application landscapes, preferably in the tourism sector
  • Very good knowledge of Java 8 and relevant frameworks / concepts such as Spring, AOP, JPA2 and / or web services, experience in designing microservices advantageous
  • Experience in Java software development with Git, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins and Application Servers (especially Tomcat), Elasticsearch and / or Hazelcast, experience in handling large amounts of data, MDM and SQL desirable
  • Passion and fun with DevOps concepts and software development in a self-organized, agile Scrum Team
  • Knowledge of agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and ability to successfully master complex coordination and special tasks
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Team player with very good communication and conflict resolution skills
  • High problem-solving competence and distinct pragmatic implementation strength
