TUI Tech @ Roberta Challenge 2019
Two weeks ago we had the great opportunity to take part in the Roberta Challenge held at the Leibniz University in Hanover. As part of our cooperation with the Roberta Initiative, we had already taken part in designing the mats to be driven on in a TUI-specific design. Among other things, the robots had to remove a virus from the data center, correctly assign suitcases of different colors to the correct counter or get a plane to take off. The focus was on the interaction between tourism & IT.
We were especially excited that we got the chance to act as jury members for the robotics competition "Roberta Challenge kreativ" for girls, which took place for the first time this year. As part of the Challenge, teams of girls from different schools competed against each other and presented their ideas for the motto "Adventure & Holiday and what does a PC actually have to do with it? With the help of a creative package, the robot could be adapted according to the motto. From mountain rescue to safari everything was included. We were more than impressed by the students' creative ideas. Thank you for the great organization!
