For TUI Group in Berlin we are seeking with immediate effect a: Software Developer (m/f/d)

With our Digital Sales Platforms, we ensure that millions of customers can find and book their dream holiday every day. From flights to hotels, from rental cars to excursions - all offers should be available at all times. In the background, we make sure that our reservation systems, caches, interfaces and websites work together in a stable and efficient way. Become part of TUI and support us in further developing our Digital Sales Platforms and keeping them running. In concrete terms, your tasks include
  • Develop and implement technically optimal and customer-oriented IT solutions
  • Responsible for the documentation and the quality of the created solutions and their proof by means of automated tests
  • Evaluate technical requirements for tourism applications
  • Advise stakeholders on the content and technical development of products and services
  • Coordinate and co-design the architecture of tourism applications and services
  • Responsible for the consistency and operability of implemented deployments as well as the optimization and further development of deployment processes with extensive automation
  • Further develop software development methods and participate in Communities of Practice
  • IT-technical university degree (e.g. computer science, business informatics) or a comparable education / qualification
  • Relevant programming experience (e.g. JavaScript/NodeJS, Shell)
  • Professional experience in the field of system architecture and in the development of highly available server and web applications, preferably in the field of tourism or eCommerce systems
  • Confident handling of cloud and container technologies (dockers, VMs) and virtualization software; experience with Amazon Web Services is desirable.
  • Experience in agile teams and projects an advantage
  • Fluent in spoken and written German and English
  • Team player who enjoys learning new technologies
  • Strong customer, result and quality orientation
  • Willingness to take temporary business trips, mainly between Berlin and Hanover
